Bad Oils: it is essential to avoid these oils:

  • Corn Oil
  • Canola Oil
  • Cottonseed Oil
  • Soy Oil
  • Sunflower Oil
  • Safflower Oil
  • Grapeseed Oil
  • Rice Bran Oil
  • Vegetable Oil


Good Oils

  • Olive Oil (my favorite)
  • Avocados Oil
  • Palm Oil
  • Peanut Oil
  • Lard & Bacon Fat
  • Chicken & Duck Fat


Sugars should be avoided.

Look for any ingredient with these words:

  • sugar
  • syrup
  • juice

Look for the suffix "ose"

  • sucrose
  • fructose
  • xylose
  • dextrose


Protein powders should be avoided as they are pretty much sugars.

Avoid:

  • protein bars
  • protein shakes
  • protein Smoothies
  • nutrition boosters
  • vegan meats

Look for any ingredient with these words:

  • brown rice protein
  • casein
  • egg white protein
  • milk protein
  • pea protein
  • protein powder
  • soy protein
  • vegetable protein
  • whey protein


It is important to get all your fruits and vegetables organic. Here is a list of non-organically grown foods containing high amounts of glyphosate:

  • Apples
  • Almonds
  • Canola
  • Asparagus
  • Corn
  • Cherries
  • Cotton
  • Dates


  • Cinnamon oil
  • Clove oil
  • Peppermint oil
  • Oregano oil


Vegetables:

  • Raw onions
  • Peppers

Herbs

  • Peppercorns

Notes (updated January 5, 2026):  

  1. Vitamin D should be taken with fat (with or shortly after eating olive oil, eggs, grass fed beef, avocados, etc.) 
  2. For best absorption and use by the body, vitamin D should be taken with vitamin K2, Magnesium, and Zinc. 
  3. Sometimes you can get a good deal on Dr. Berg vitamins at Pure Formulas. 


B+ 1 capsule/day (good vitamin B complex blend) 


C 100mg/day (time release) 


D3 & K2 10,000 IBU/day 


Magnesium Complex BIOptimizers 2 capsules


Magnesium Glycinate 240 IBU (before bed) 


Milk Thistle 111mg/day (for healthy liver) 


Tumeric 1000mg/day (can get at Costco and goes on sale occasionally) 


Zinc 50mg/day 


Olive Oil – 1TBS daily of Organic, first cold press, in glass or can. 


3 Brazil Nuts daily (for selenium) 


Notes: Water should always be accompanied with electrolytes for best absorption. 

  1. Key Nutrients (contains organic stevia) 
  2. Nunn (contains dextrose) 
  3. Zipfizz (contains sucralose) 
  4. Liquid IV (contains sugar & dextrose) 


Note: both Zipfizz and Liquid IV go on sale about once a quarter at Costco.
